How
Does the cost of SonicMAX compare to other hull guards?
SonicMAX hull guard is the least expensive hull protection
in the world. It protects any hull from Barnacles, Worms,
Snails, Zebra Mussels, oysters, clams and other organisms
that attach to boat hulls.
How Does SonicMAX protect the hull?
SonicMAX protects hulls by emitting pulsing, low frequency
sonic waves that repel sea life and virtually inhibits organisms
from attaching to the hull of any vessel.
Does SonicMAX work with other anti-fouling systems?
The low-frequency vibration also creates a resonating boundary
layer of water that surrounds the vessels hull and
underwater appendages, which works synergistically with
algaecide bottom coatings to deter the build-up of algae
and grasses that interfere with the antifouling properties
of such coatings.
Can SonicMAX save money on dry dock costs too?
Yes! With SonicMAX vessels do not have to be hauled out
of water for dry dock each year. The hull can remain organism
free for as long as SonicMAX is functioning. No yearly dry
dock and no more yearly painting. That is a huge saving
on standard vessel maintenance.
How many SonicMAX units will be needed to protect the
entire hull?
By placing SonicMAX units 10 feet apart along the the length
of the hull the entire bottom of the vessel is completely
protected.
Where does the SonicMAX get its energy source from?
SonicMAX consumes only 3 mili-amps of power from the onboard
12 volt system because it utilises a pulse signal which
requires minimum power.
Does it affect other electronic equipment on the vessel?
Since the system is low frequency it cannot cause electrolysis
or affect onboard electronic equipment.
Is installation easy?
SonicMAX is installed without any drilling or through-hull
fittings. All resonators are installed while the vessel
is either in or out of the water. An easy, self installation
manual is included with the unit.
What type of maintenance procedure is there?
NONE! However, you should keep a normal, regular check on
your battery to ensure a constant power supply to the SonicMAX.
